Threshold
Threshold, exhibition views
Threshold takes the simplest possible three-dimensional fractal structure as its point of departure. Set into a slow rotational movement, the form shifts along its own axis, producing shadows, overlaps, and fleeting geometric relations that emerge and dissolve over time. As the viewer’s attention follows this movement, the distinction between top, side, and base begins to blur, while the volume appears to alter its own configuration. The work takes place as much in perception as in the object itself.
