Peace on Earth
Peace on Earth constructs an environment in which a recording of the artist’s heartbeat is mixed with a spectrum of low and inaudible frequencies, then transmitted into a body of water. The sound enters the surface as vibration, generating waveforms that disturb the reflected image and produce a shifting field of interference and generates form.
The work reflects on the relation between individual rhythm and collective space, and turns a private pulse into a shared element.
As viewers approach the piece, their image appears on the mirrored surface, crossed by the movement of the water, becoming part of the work.
